NEWS 12 - LA MILLE MIGLIA A POGGIBONSI English - Deutsch 80 years since the first time in 1927, also in 2007 did Tuscany and Poggibonsi provide a noble area for the parade of the most stunning and beautiful cars ever made in history. The Mille Miglia, starting every year in May on a Friday from Brescia to Rome and returning on the Saturday thereafter via the famous Via Cassia from Rome via Siena, Piazza del Campo, the Chianti, Poggibonsi, Piazza della Signoria in Florence and returning to Brescia, is every year the setting of 300 of the most beautiful cars that have ever been built (accessible are cars produced between 1927 and 1957). And every year there are also some enthusiasts who combine a visit to the race with a sojourn in a Hotel which fits in style and atmosphere in ideal manner to the event. Villa del Pino, situated in stylish fashion on a hill in midst of the rolling hills of the Chianti, is only 10 minutes away from the race course and provides an ideal setting for Oldtimer lovers and enthusiasts. As special guests this year, we were welcoming the family of Bernd Kerscher who had won the first price, a sojourn at Villa del Pino during the Mille Miglia in the Penrite-Competition of George B. Dönnis JaguarClassic company in Switzerland (the number one address for classic car restoration work!). Stylishly, the Kerscher family showed up in a XJSC-V12!
